Brain Integration - Alternative Therapy for Learning Disorders and Head Injuries.
Testimonials

What we have done together has been phenomenal! It has completely changed my lifeAs a teenager, I had a head injury.  Afterward I slept through lectures, found it very hard to concentrate or read. I quit college because the challenges were too great.  Now after doing Brain Integration with Alex, my eyes are 100% better!  I can read as long as I want without my body shutting down and falling asleep.  I now ENJOY reading.  Concentration during culinary classes are a lot easier.  I can stay awake. The teachers notice it too.  I can remember names.  I seem to be gaining speed when I work and I am able to manage time better, and plan what needs to be done. My headaches are very infrequent. My balance is as good as new.  I feel straighter and more coordinated when I run.  My life is easier to live not such a struggle.
We worked on some beliefs and experiences of childhood, now I feel more loving, more patient and more confident. The constant fear I had in my life seems to have finally vanished. Thank you for everything Alex.  You have literally saved my life!

I am 27 and diagnosed with dyslexia.  I have some difficulty with coordination and 3 head injuries, maybe 1 concussion.  After Brain Integration, I noticed I no longer have anxiety around breathing while doing the crawl stroke. My stroke is smoother than it has ever been. I can now do the butterfly stroke something  that was impossible before.  I have more awareness of my body and the tension in it.  I can now relax and lower my anxiety over all and overwhelming situations are easier to be with. I can accept things as they are, instead of reacting. Reading is now easier, I can remember peoples names, and note taking is also much easier.
Thank you,
Grant K.

Our 15 year old son, Anthony has been told that he is dumb and stupid by his classmates. His teachers knew he was smart and was very knowledgeable of things he heard and saw; but his reading and reading retention were not good.
In fifth grade he was diagnosed with dyslexia and things began to improve, but, unknown to us, the damage of the ridicule and bullying “for being stupid”, being told he “would never go anywhere and should just die” continued. The continued tormenting and bullying caused Anthony to have a lack of confidence and give up on school and give up on himself. In middle school, he withdrew in his classes, stopped participating and stopped completing and turning in homework.
He also had difficulty budgeting time, following directions, giving directions, telling time, remembering directions, remembering months of the year, and times tables.  He was prone to headaches which turned into migraines.  He had trouble sleeping.  Anthony also struggled with poor handwriting, organizational skills, reading comprehension, reading skills and spelling. By the eighth grade, Anthony was struggling with depression and was being treated medically and participating in weekly psychotherapy. He also displayed signs of self-destructive behavior. His grades were all D’s and F’s with an occasional C. Every class was a struggle. Anthony was easy to anger and rage at his teachers and other students.
August: Anthony began working with Alex using Brain Integration Technique (BIT) in August just a few weeks before his freshman year of high school. All summer long we had heard about how he didn’t want to go to school in August and how much he hated school.  His question to us was “as his parents, why couldn’t we, just accept the fact that he was stupid and always would be?” After the first couple of sessions Anthony began to notice a difference in his mood and his sleeping pattern.  When school started, he was not lashing out at us for making him go.
September: While Anthony still didn’t admit to liking school, it was no longer a struggle to get him to go. His reading got better, he was better able to recall information he read.  Memorizing and recalling information also became easier, ie,    times tables.
October: Because Anthony was feeling better, he initiated conversations with both his doctor and his therapist about stopping medication and therapy sessions. After evaluation, the decision was made to start withdrawing his medicine slowly and start reducing the frequency of the therapist’s visits. He continued doing better in all of his classes in school. He was studying and learning in class and he was able to read and remember things.
November: Before Thanksgiving, Anthony was completely removed from his meds. His attitude was great and all of his classes were going well. During this month he completely read a book in 4 weeks which is a much shorter time than ever before. December: We have “our Anthony” again! Anthony went to his last therapy appointment; his program was complete. He finished his first high school freshman semester with 3-A’s, 1-B, 2-C’s and 1-D. He was positive, self confident and while he still doesn’t admit to liking school, it’s no trouble whatsoever to get him to go.
Since working with Alex using the BIT, Anthony is able to reign in his emotions, deciding to leave the situation and not engage.  Now he logically reasons and can see that the principal or teachers really do not like being screamed at. Working with Alex has changed Anthony’s life dramatically.
We sat in on every session Anthony had with Alex and not only did she make it fun for him but it was easy to tell she cares for him and what he’s going through. She established a good relationship with him from day one and kept building on it. After certain appointments where there was major “realignments” done, she would call us the next day to check on him and see how he was doing.
Having been a real doubter of this process, seemed “way out there”, living with the wonderful results makes it something we encourage everyone to give it a try.  WOW, a year ago, we were struggling with a teenage son who did not think life was worth living to a kid that can’t wait to live life! -          Parents of Anthony,

Main issues reading and shyness.
There have been many changes I have experienced in both my lifestyle and my academics after receiving Brain Integration Therapy. I used to be extremely shy in front of crowds of people I didn't know. I would get up in front of my class and have to swallow a lot and I would be so nervous that I was almost shaking. But, after taking brain integration therapy I went up in front of my sociology class and only the fist time I presented was I nervous, after that my nerves were nonexistent. Also I used to feel uncomfortable at get-togethers with my grandpa where there would be a lot of intellectuals. Now I feel more independent and not reliant on my grandpa to lead me around.
My reading comprehension has also improved significantly. Through testing my memory in reading I noticed that I was able to recall more of what I read.
Before my BIT appointments I could remember a couple details and I got the basic gist of what I was reading and now I can remember and repeat back much more of the content after I read it. I went from telling minor details back from a section of two paragraphs to reciting almost the entire section.
The final and most important thing for me that I have noticed is that I am no longer groggy in the mornings. This has helped me concentrate better in my early morning classes and I also feel better for the rest of the day. I have seen a big improvement in the amount of information I retain from these classes and it has shown in my grades. Brain Integration has definitely helped me in school and in my personal life.

Thank you very much Alex, it was nice meeting you. I really appreciate what you have done for me.
